It's pretty busy over at our warehouse this time of year, as deliveries arrive ready for Autumn and Winter. Our delivery of the day yesterday was the new range of camping food we're stocking from Beyond the Beaten Track.


Beyond the Beaten Track produce a wide range of nutritious and delicious camping meals and ration packs - perfect for backpacking and outdoor trips. If you'd rather not take a stove with you on your weekend away, fear not, you can purchase some extremely compact and convenient "Flameless Ration Heaters" to use in conjuction with your ready meals. Although, you can also eat the meals cold, if that's what you'd prefer.

We stock two different types of Beyond The Beaten Track Meals:

1) Hot Meal Kits -
These kits include a meal, a flameless ration heater, a spoon and a wet wipe.

All this talk of food is making me rather hungry, so these may not be around for long!

A delivery of duffel bags, rucksacks and totepacks from a Swedish company called Fjällräven has just arrived with us in the warehouse.


These aren't your standard bags. Lets just say; If they were a dog, they would be a Pedigree show dog. If they were a car, they'd be a Bentley... you probably get the idea.

With the rucksack and duffel bag market swamped by Mongrels and Fiat Puntos (Yep, I'm still going with the dog/car comparisons), we'd like to offer our customers an alternative. Bags from the other end of the spectrum.

That other end of the spectrum is occupied by a Swedish company called Fjällräven, and has been for quite some time. Since way back in the 1950's when Åke Nordin, the company founder developed his first (wooden!) backpack frame, and sewed a bag out of strong cotton, at the age of 14, using his mothers sewing machine.

Fjällräven has gone from strength to strength in recent years thanks to their continuous product development and improvement of materials, including the G-1000 heavy duty fabric used in their duffels, rucksacks and totepacks.

We know how much of a faff it can be packing away your sleeping bag, mattress and tent into their (apparently under-sized) stuff sack once you're at the end of your camping trip. The last thing you want to come up against is a self inflating mattress that refuses to co-operate and climb happily into its bag.
